People of Italian descent file an injunction to stop New Haven's removal of its Christopher Columbus statue on June 24, 2020. The statue stood in Wooster Square since 1892.
After locking arms and blocking public works vehicles from entering Wooster Square, protesters of Italian descent allowed the vehicles through out of respect for police officers. The statue was removed.
